"Travel With A Purpose" founder, Phil Zeck, has spent 30+ years as a successful sales and marketing executive in almost every facet of the travel industry—airlines, cruise lines, riverboats, hotels and resorts, on both the wholesale and retail sides. Phil’s career has provided him the opportunity to travel the world and to practice his lifelong hobby of photography, and it was the confluence of his travel career, his photographic pursuits, and his enthusiasm for the unlimited potential of the digital photographic revolution that gave him the idea for "Travel With A Purpose."
Always working on becoming a better photographer, Phil attended classes offered by the Lepp Insitute of Digital Imaging, where he first met Hal Schmitt, the owner of the institute. Returning from his classes, Phil had a clear picture of how much he’d learned about digital photography and the digital darkroom, and how much more there was to learn. He envisioned using his knowledge of the travel industry to develop the "Travel With A Purpose" concept. He was sure that there were a lot of people like him who loved photography and embraced the new digital equipment, but wanted to hone both their technical skills and their artistic eye.
Phil now uses his background to seek out the best and most proven travel companies to negotiate the best prices, and combines a great photography-oriented travel program with the absolute best photographic instructors.
